About the Course
This e-module is divided into 2 submodules focusing on the Insomnia Treatment Updates and Hypnotics Dependency Management.Hypnotic medications are widely prescribed for the treatment of insomnia. The first part of this module, presented by Dr Ting Joe Hang, highlights the disease overview of insomnia and an update on the current treatment paradigm in the management of insomnia. Subsequently in the next part, addiction specialist Dr Fadzli shares information on monitoring for hypnotics potential risk of dependency or addiction. In essence, the knowledge gained from this course may assist you in advancing your clinical management of your patients with insomnia.This CPD activity is presented by Dr. Ting Joe Hang and Dr. Mohd. Fadzli Mohamad Isa, and is supported by Malaysian Psychiatric Association, Sleep Disorder Society Malaysia and Eisai Sdn. Bhd..

About the Presenters
Dr. Ting Joe Hang
Dr Ting Joe Hang is a consultant psychiatrist based in the Klang Valley. He completed his Masters in Psychological medicine at University Malaya. He tenured as a lecturer at University Malaya for a few years before leaving to set up his own practise. He's also affiliated to two private medical centres in the Klang Valley. He's also an active member of MPA.
